Community Forum on Civic Involvement Scheduled
The forum is designed to develop a strategy for increasing the level of civic involvement among youth. Planning for the forum is a regional effort that involves many grassroots youth-serving agencies, local governments, Centralina Council of Governments, Foundation for the Carolinas and the NC Civic Education Consortium.

The City of Ventura Community Partnerships Granting Program – administered through the Community Services Department – recently provided $210,000 in FY 2003-2004 funding to 16 non-profit organizations or social service agencies in our community. Those 16 organizations/agencies will provide 21 social service programs to community residents.
