CREATIVE CORNER: SLOW CITIES

Want to take it slow? Travel to Italy's 33 towns that have made a deliberate decision to remain "Slow Cities." They have banded together to "preserve Italy's languid pace" and resist Americanization. No Starbucks. No McDonald's. USA Today reports that Slow Cities is a spinoff from an 11-year-old anti-fast-food movement called "Slow Food." Italy's Slow Cities include Todi, Asti, Orvieto and Positano. (Coletta and Co., Smart City)
