Spotlight: John Lewis, Fayetteville, Arkansas
Working towards a prosperous future for NW Arkansas!
Since retiring earlier this year as president of the Bank of Fayetteville, a bank that he founded, John Lewis has continued to be involved with civic and regional issues and has become even more active in community life in northwest Arkansas. Some current projects he is part of include:
  • Developing the Fayetteville Community Foundation to be the organization that plans and is responsible for what Fayetteville will be in 100 years.  This year's goal to raise $750,000 for five years operating expenses is close to being achieved, having raised $650,000 so far.
  • Managing a technology incubator, through the newly formed Arkansas Technology Development Foundation.  The technology incubator has 19 emerging high tech companies, and a new Research Park consisting of 70 + acres and a new building, that has already leased 85 % of 30,000 sq. feet of space. The Foundation is planning additional 2-3 new buildings in the Park for the coming year ( More info at: http://www.uark.edu/ua/artp/aboutus/ ).
  • Building Teamlewis.biz, a new advisory and consulting company that is made up of Lewis, his brother, and other talented friends nationwide. Teamlewiz.biz’s motto is “We help winners finish first!”
