Spotlight: Partners for Livable Communities San Diego
Conference on Strategies for Greening our Urban Environment: Love it or Leaf it
On March 15th, 2006 Partners for Livable Communities San Diego held a seminar with the purpose of exploring the concept of greening as a strategy for growth, sustainability, livability, and to influence design and planning decisions.  The program  focused on three arenas: vision, which demonstrates what has and what can be done; value, which illustrates the impact of greening on property values, mental and physical health, and livability; and action, which covers the creation and maintenance of greening projects.   With speakers of local expertise as well as national recognition, this seminar was informative and an influential step towards realizing the benefits of strategic greening.
