NEW CIVICS: LEADERSHIP FOR COMMUNITIES
Bridge Builders for Every Community
Partners annual Bridge
Builders Award Program honors civic leaders who have formed
partnerships across racial, social, economic and geographic
barriers for the betterment of their communities. To promote
the success stories of Bridge Builders, Partners is developing
an extended program to recognize new "bridge builders"
in towns across the U.S. through a series of local workshops,
videos and training seminars.
Partners
Honors
These celebratory
honors bring together the best of our community leaders
and advocates for an event of camaraderie and new opportunities.
Crossing the Line: The New Players
in Regionalism
Partners will undertake research and leadership forums to
examine the new players in regional agenda across the country.
The new "team" members in the regional agenda include:
the private sector, philanthropic community, media, and cultural,
faith-based and educational institutions.
Community Philanthropy Futures
Partners is exploring the innovative role of community foundations,
which are uniquely positioned to help identify and support
new leaders at the local level.
The Future of
Asian Pacific Islander Americans in Americas Communities
The Asian and Pacific Islander population is the fastest growing
ethnic demographic group in the United States. As such, the
Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) population is struggling
to establish a foothold in American society and become a valuable
asset to the development of our nation. Partners has collaborated
with the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional
Studies (APIACS) to create a national forum on the most pressing
issues facing the burgeoning APIA population. While there
are many gatherings with an APIA focus, Partners believe this
discussion will be unique due to the combined experiences
of Partners grassroots empowerment strategies and APAICS
federal-level policy knowledge. |
