Aging in Place
Partners’ "Retrofitting America’s Communities for Aging in Place" project explores innovative examples of design and planning for senior citizens and creates a model for auditing a community’s efforts to take the special needs of seniors into account.

Kids Space Design
In collaboration with the Academy for Educational Development, Partners is planning a seminar to discuss the design of safe gathering places for children and teenagers to keep young people out of trouble and provide activities after school.

Suburbia
A Partners’ program that advocates innovative ideas for restructuring older suburbs, emphasizing planned development that contains sprawl, plans that are compatible with land use and existing infrastructure and strategies that examine zoning laws, like live/work concepts, open space conservation, building codes, density rights, transfer of development rights etc.
