INFO SHARING

Information Sharing keeps you in touch with the places where change is taking place and the people who are making it happen. For more information click on Livability Central under Ongoing Programs.

Study Tours are one of the most effective means of gaining information. Nothing takes the place of actually seeing a Best Practice and talking to the people who brought it to life. Study tours are organized around a specific topic; they can be close by and last a day or they can be a continent away and take place over two weeks.

Communities wanting more than cursory information on a specific topic often request Best Practice Research. Tell us your concerns and objectives; we will gather Best Practice information tailored specifically to you. For example, you may want to know how to garner political support for instituting a Business Improvement District. We can uncover this information for you and analyze it, given the situation in your community.

Networking is how our members stay in touch with one another. We facilitate this through newsletters, conferences, and publications.

Resources
Partners is proud to present up-to-date information to our clients on successful projects and creative leadership. We track livability trends and make our own informed predictions on future trends. We introduce you to the best practitioners in the livability field.

Research Services
Partners can prepare a written analysis based on a survey of amenities and offer recommendations for action. Some of the reports we have produced include:

  • a "cultural audit" of downtown Washington, DC, describing all special cultural activities in the area. It included outstanding examples from other parts of the country and a plan to simulate such events for retail growth, tourism, and civic enrichment in the nation’s capital.
  • a marketing study completed for Richmond, Virginia analyzed the need for additional spaces for the arts. A subsequent feasibility study recommended one structure as a future community arts facility.
